The Zastava M72 brings classic RPK features to the civilian market in a semi-automatic format. Chambered in 7.62×39mm, it features a 21″ cold hammer-forged barrel with chrome lining and integrated cooling fins, designed to improve heat dissipation during extended firing. The barrel is threaded for muzzle devices and includes a removable bipod for stabilized shooting.

This model is built on a heavy-duty 1.5mm stamped receiver with a bulged front trunnion, offering increased rigidity and durability. The rifle is outfitted with traditional wood furniture, including a fixed wood buttstock, wood forend, and ergonomic pistol grip.

The adjustable RPK-style rear sight provides windage and elevation adjustments, while the standard front post allows precise aiming. A safety selector with bolt hold-open notch improves usability and safety during range use.
