The North American Arms 22M Mini-Revolver is designed for those who value absolute concealability and simplicity in a defensive sidearm. Chambered in .22 Magnum, this revolver delivers higher velocity and energy than .22 LR in a platform that’s smaller than most pockets. Its robust stainless steel construction and minimalist design make it a reliable choice for ultra-discreet carry, backup weapon applications, or collectors seeking something unique and mechanically classic.
This revolver operates on a single-action mechanism, requiring manual cocking of the hammer before each shot. While this may not suit rapid-fire scenarios, it adds a layer of safety by preventing accidental discharges from trigger snags. The hammer offers a positive lock-up with defined cylinder notches for safe carry between chambers, eliminating the need to leave one chamber empty.
The 1.63-inch barrel offers better ballistic performance than extremely short barrel revolvers, giving the .22 Magnum cartridge the velocity it needs to achieve its potential. While compact, this barrel length still supports accuracy at close range and keeps the firearm incredibly easy to conceal.
Crafted entirely from stainless steel, the 22M is built for durability in all conditions. Whether you’re carrying it in humid environments, as a backup in a duty kit, or simply storing it for emergencies, the finish resists corrosion and stands up to hard use.
Weighing just approximately 6.5 ounces unloaded, the 22M is light enough for virtually any carry method. Its overall length of just 5.13 inches and height under 3 inches make it one of the smallest functional revolvers available. It easily fits into a pocket, boot, waistband, or ankle rig with minimal printing, making it ideal for situations where discretion is non-negotiable.
Despite its diminutive size, North American Arms builds each of their revolvers with tight tolerances and reliable mechanics. The spur-style grip is small but functional, and aftermarket grips are available for those who want to extend control or add bulk for range use.
Loading and unloading the 22M requires removal of the cylinder, a process that may feel antiquated to some, but is consistent with the revolver’s minimalistic design philosophy. The cylinder rod releases with a simple push, allowing the user to remove and reload each chamber by hand. While slower than swing-out or break-top designs, this system keeps the revolver slim and free of fragile moving parts.

Operation and Safety Notes:
The 22M Mini-Revolver is a single-action firearm. The hammer must be manually cocked before each shot. Always carry with the hammer resting in the safety notch between chambers. While this design enhances carry safety, it also requires careful handling. Loading and unloading require removing the cylinder via the pushrod mechanism—familiarity with this process is essential for safe operation.
