About the Q Sugar Weasel SD

The Q Sugar Weasel SD is the integrally suppressed version of Q’s Sugar Weasel, the lower-cost sibling of the Honey Badger. It pairs the Honey Badger’s 7″ fast-twist .300 Blackout barrel and adjustable gas block with an M16-spec receiver set, and tucks Q’s direct-thread titanium Honey Badger suppressor inside a 12″ free-float M-LOK handguard. The result is a compact, quiet SBR that runs subsonic and supersonic .300 BLK loads at a much lower price than a Honey Badger SD.

Key Features

  • 7″ stainless steel barrel chambered in .300 AAC Blackout with a 1:5 twist for heavy subsonic bullets
  • Integrated Honey Badger direct-thread titanium suppressor housed under the handguard
  • 12″ clear-anodized free-float M-LOK handguard with full-length top Picatinny rail
  • Pistol-length gas system with an adjustable low-profile gas block to tune for ammunition and backpressure
  • M16-spec receiver set without forward assist
  • ALG Defense ACT trigger and 70° safety selector
  • Q Shorty two-position telescoping stock

FAQ

Is the Sugar Weasel SD an NFA item?

Yes. It is a short barreled rifle and it includes a suppressor, so both must be registered and an approved ATF Form 4 is required before transfer. Our team in Benton, LA can walk you through the process.

What is the difference between the Sugar Weasel SD and the Honey Badger SD?

Both use the same style of 7″ .300 Blackout barrel, adjustable gas block and integrated suppressor under a 12″ handguard. The Sugar Weasel SD uses an M16-spec receiver set, a standard AR buffer system and the Q Shorty stock, which brings the price down.

What ammunition does it shoot?

It is chambered in .300 AAC Blackout and is built to run both subsonic and supersonic loads. The adjustable gas block lets you tune it for your ammo.
